Greetings! My name is Julian Truitt and I am a story artist and illustrator hailing from the Emerald State, currently based in Los Angeles, CA. My foundation is in traditional art with a BA in fine arts from the University of Washington, and I later went on to receive an MFA in Film and Television with The Animation Workshop at UCLA in 2017. I have since worked as a freelance character designer/illustrator/animator with a current focus toward storyboarding and story development. 

My true passion lies in storytelling, and I love realizing characters visually but also exploring their inner worlds, emotions, and actions with an aim to connect on an emotional level with people of all ages. I enjoy creating detailed illustrations as much as writing scenarios for film and television that people can relate to, or simply have fun with!

When I’m not drawing you will often find me exploring the neighborhood with friends, immersed in historical documents and podcasts, learning classical pieces on the guitar, and playing board games!
